Comprehensive study on the ceremonial of the Olympic flame, which includes a historical investigation of the agonistic-liturgical rite of the lampadedromias or torch races and the remote origins of the ceremonial of the flame. Next, a meticulous examination of the entire historical evolution of the transfer of the flame from Olympia to the host city of each edition of the Olympic Games is carried out, starting with the ones held in the German city of Berlin in 1936. The text includes ignition dates, officiating priestesses, scheduled ceremonies, torch characteristics, geographical routes, relevant characters involved in the ceremonial events, first and last torchbearers, etc.
