It deals with the origin of the Games in Olympia, the ideology about Pierre de Coubertin, and the Olympic Movement, its structure, symbols and emblems. It also contains brief notes about the modern Olympic Games of summer (from Athens 1896 to Athens 2004) and winter (from Chamonix 1924 to Salt Lake City 2002). Finally, it lists the Olympic medals won by Spain between 1900 and 2004.
