Olimpia y los Juegos Olímpicos Antiguos / Conrado Durántez
Edited by Comité Olímpico Español - 1975
Encyclopedic work in two volumes that is a remarkable contribution to classical culture and, above all, to the cultural cause of sport and includes a wide variety of graphic documentation. The first one focuses, in detail, on the geography in which Olympia is located, on the way in which the Games were held in Antiquity and on the roles played by each of the protagonists involved in them. The second volume is dedicated to the study and exposition of the various sports that took place in Olympia during the long historical period of the Games, and includes athletic agones, equestrians, warriors, luctatories and artistics.
