Preventing criminal risks linked to the sports betting market : final report June 2017 / European Commission

European Commission | Institut de Relations Internationales et Stratégiques

Edited by IRIS - 2017

In the light of the current economic environment, with new, growing criminal risks (such as cybercrime and match-fixing) and reduced public finances, this report proposes a pioneer evaluation of the criminal risks linked to the sports betting activity, a new (legal) economic sector at EU and international levels. Such a risk-assessment will lead to recommendations aimed directly at EU MS or European authorities, but it will analyse betting as a global activity especially given its transnational nature.
