Edited by Centre de Droit et d'Économie du Sport - 2024

This study of the economic impact of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games was commissioned jointly by the International Olympic Committee and the Paris 2024 Organising Committee. In accordance with national (in particular the Ministry of Sport and the Olympic and Paralympic Games) and international (in particular the OECD and the International Academy of Sports Science and Technology) methodological reference frameworks, this study incorporates updated data provided by Paris 2024 and the Société de livraison des ouvrages olympiques (Solideo). The updated study assesses the economic impact for the Île-de-France region (it does not therefore cover the national economic impact) and covers the entire life cycle of the event, comprising a preparation phase (2018/2023), a staging phase (2024) and a legacy phase (2025/2034), i.e. an overall period of 17 years. The first study was carried out in 2016 with forecast figures.
