Suomen mitalimiehet : tähänastisissa olympialaisissa : 1906-1936 / Harri Eljanko
Edited by Tietoteos oy - 1936
The glorious tradition of Finnish sport, from the Olympic Games to the Olympic Games since 1906, has always been and will continue to be our national pride. We must also remember that the men who, since the Athens Games, have carried the Finnish name like a torch before many other nations at the world's greatest sporting festivals are our national heroes. But how long will they remain as such in the minds and memories of the people? It is usually the case that, for one or at most two Olympic Games, the various sporting stars shine brightly around each Olympic celebration, then fade away, only to disappear from sight and be forgotten.
