Diplomacy of the International Olympic Committee before the Seoul Olympics / Michael Marcin Kobierecki
The goal of the article is to analyze the negotiations that the IOC held with both Korean NOCs from the perspective of governments' engagement in the process. The hypothesis to be verified states that in despite the fact that the IOC negotiated mostly with National Olympic Committees, the latter fact they acted as representatives of their governments. The research was conducted on the basis of correspondence between the IOC and Korean NOCs and minutes from the meetings between the three parts.
