This manual describes the procedure for issuance of identity cards and for their use, in certain instances, as travel documents . As in several recent Olympic Games, the identity card will not entitle the bearer to enter Olympic areas closed to the public. A separate Olympic accreditation badge, to be issued upon arrival in Los Angeles, will be required.
