The Olympic Games echo and sometimes even anticipate the trends and aspirations of society, constantly surfing on these new waves. Thus, six new sports and disciplines have been added to the Summer Olympic Games program: 3x3 basketball, BMX freestyle, breaking, sport climbing, skateboarding and surfing. This publication is the catalog of the exhibition "Riding the Olympic wave" held at the Olympic Museum from March 17, 2022 to March 5, 2023. This exhibition explores this evolution and presents these six sports and disciplines, as well as the social, cultural and artistic contexts in which they flourish.
